How to Stay Organized using the Purposely Organized Planner

Have a vision

Having a vision is key to achieving any goal. Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision the people perish…”

Your vision is a clear image of where you want to be and what you want to achieve. As we work on our daily, weekly and monthly tasks, having a vision keeps us focused, committed and motivated.

In a world that has so many distractions, a vision board can help us stay focused on the things that really matter. Our Purposely Organized planner has a designated space for the curation of a vision board.

Set realistic monthly goals

After defining and creating your vision, it’s important to break this down into measurable goals that are within reach. Consider your vision your long-term goals while your monthly goals are your short-term goals. This allows the journey to achieving your vision (or long-term goals) to feel less daunting and more achievable.

Write a daily/weekly task list

Do you remember that task you were supposed to do but you found yourself days later saying, “I forgot to do it”? Yup, that’s why a daily/weekly to-do list is not only important but an absolute necessity.

Your daily/weekly task list is a compilation of items you need to complete in order to achieve the monthly goals you outlined.

We cannot depend on our brains to remember all the tasks we need to complete. Having a task list not only helps you remember what needs to be done, it’s also a tool you can use to keep yourself accountable. Getting everything on your to-do list done gives an indication that your day was productive.

One game-changing thing I do is set out to do the hardest thing first. That way, you get to do the hardest task at the beginning of the day when you’re (usually) most alert and productive.

Organizing the different areas of your life is essential to not only live with purpose and efficiency on Earth, but to live with balance.

Color coordinate

Color coordinating the different areas of your life can help to keep your mind focused on the tasks at hand. You can easily change your pen color when using the Purposely Organized planner. Google calendar also allows you to color coordinate.

Schedule time to plan

This is something many persons don't do. Planning can take quite a bit of time so it's important to schedule and designate time for this.

Do what is BEST for you!

If you ever feel overwhelmed, it's okay to start over, change your plans or schedule where you see fit or as God leads you. Everything may not get done and that’s okay, as long as you did your very best!

PRO-TIP: Pray over your plans and schedule, your concentration/productivity and strength before starting them.
